英字新聞『The Japan Times（ジャパンタイムズ）』に、キュービックの外国籍インターンの事例が掲載されました。
新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の影響で導入された入国規制上、外国籍を持つ従業員が日本に入国できない事象が発生しており、記事ではその問題を追求しています。
キュービックには、100名以上の学生インターンが在籍し、その中には外国籍の学生もいます。実際に、東京の大学に通う韓国籍の学生は2月からインターンとして入社し、日本で一緒に働く予定でしたが、今回の規制により入国が叶いませんでした。そこで、リモートワークに切り替えて韓国籍学生インターンの受け入れを行いました。この事実を取り上げていただいています。
■Travel restriction poses challenges for Japanese firms with international workforce
Some companies such as Cuebic Inc., a Tokyo-based digital marketing agency that employs foreign workers and offers internship programs to nearly 100 Japanese and foreign students, are already seeing difficulties in bringing in their new employees back.
A spokeswoman for Cuebic lamented that one of the firm’s new interns, a South Korean student at a university in Tokyo who joined the firm in February, hasn’t been able to return to Japan as a result of the entry ban.（本誌より引用）
